Nicospan provides high-quality and economical erosion control and is designed specifically for protecting vertical banks
Nicospan is a prefabricated, double weave revetment fabric manufactured from strong UV stabilised monofilament yarns with pockets. Each pocket is 220 mm wide to allow 100 mm (max) diameter posts to be used as fixings. Nicospan is available in 100 metre long rolls with standard width of 1.0 m.
Easily installed without special equipment, Nicospan is especially useful where access to the bank is limited and is the ideal low cost bank protection. Pre-planted Coir Rolls can be used in association with Nicospan to create a vegetated finish.
See images below showing the repair of a river bank using a line of Nicospan and posts to reclaim the lost land. The canal is dredged and the fill used to behind the Nicospan wall. Coir rolls are used to protect the edge and provide an instant habitat and visual harmony.
